It may not have been a good day for Mrs May but yesterday was a good day for our Horsted Keynes!
The Parish Council voted for Option 3, to Prepare a Neighbourhood Plan that allocate sites which means that the community can still have a say on how much and where we would prefer future development in our village to be.
There was a clear majority support for this decision from the council and those that attended and spoke at the meeting yesterday. The councillors had received a number of letters and emails, all encouraging them to select this option.
Now we need to work together to prepare a plan that makes provision for a reasonable number of homes on carefully selected sites that do not cause unacceptable harm. Much of the existing plan can be kept but a review of the sites will be necessary and everyone will be consulted on that.
